So long blog....

As many of y'all can tell, I'm not the best blogger in the world. So, I'm thinking of going exclusively to Facebook. If you'd like to find me, look for me there. :)

Hiking to Castle Rock w/ Good Friends

I gotta say, while these pictures might look cute w/ the baby backpacks, but it sure didn't last very long.  Chloe had enough after about 5 minutes. Better luck next time.

But we DID enjoy hiking w/ our friends.

First Tooth and Sleep Training

Okay, just a thought I learned last night: Before you try to sleep train your baby at night (i.e. don't go feed them at 3 a.m.) make sure they aren't getting their first tooth.

Italy - Rome

As you have seen in the last few blog posts, we did it -- we went to Italy w/ Chloe. The trip was AWESOME. And Chloe was the perfect age to travel with. We even got the little bassinet on the airplane, so she slept like a champ. She was our "golden ticket" because she beamed at everyone, and thus, they all loved us. YEAH. She just napped in the stroller or the Ergo Baby. I tell you what, the Ergo baby is my new best friend.

Our favorite places on the trip were Tuscany and the Cinque Terre. But major bummer, I didn't get to go swimming in the Sea, and as such I'm dying to go to Lake Powell. Any takers? The best food we had was in Tuscany as well - Ravioli w/ black truffle sauce. MMMMMM.

I think the Roman Forum might honestly be the hottest place on earth - no kidding. We took turns, one of us held Chloe in the shade, while the other person explored the inferno.

Anyway, hope you felt like you went on vacation too as you browse the pictures. If you have questions about traveling with a baby, just ask. We are major proponents.

Chloe stomps on the last remains of the Roman Forum.

Ta Da - the Colluseum

The Sistine Chapel. If you look at the top of the photograph, you can see the "Spark of Life". I'm not sure if we were supposed to take this photograph, but at least I didn't use my flash, thus it's a little bit blurry.

Italy - Venice

Hanging out on the big water buses that run up and down the Grand Canal. Chloe was a champ, but the water buses and the stroller really weren't a great combination.

A view of the Grand Canal.

Doesn't that water look great. SICK..... Not quite the romantic scene you'd hope for.

Chloe was amazed -- checking everything out in the Ergo.

Italy - Cinque Terre

Chloe loved the wind on the boat. Who knew. Maybe she'll be a great water skier?

Jared and Chloe on "The Path of Love".

The harbor at Vernazza.

The "Sea View" from our room. Ha ha.

Hiking in, we were trying to keep the sun off Chloe's head. A sweater works.

Italy - Sienna

Here's another church. If you look hard you can see Jared and Chloe on the steps.

Chloe and me on the main square. She liked it until dinner time, then had a meltdown.

More pictures of the square. I forgot what it's called, but apparently this is where everyone met to watch hangings and beheadings. Nice.

Main square #3.

Italy - Tuscany

The view from our room -- sweet sauce.

Chloe sitting up to lunch. :)

The best food we ate on our ENTIRE trip.

Doesn't this swimming pool look amazing. It was fun, but probably 50 degrees.

More views of Tuscany.

Italy - Florence

Jared kissing one of the many "originals". Oh boy.

We stopped by Dante's house. He wasn't home -- I tried.

The beautiful cathedral - and Jared looking like he doesn't know I'm taking a picture.

On the plane over, Chloe had her own seat belt. We even got the little cradle that hooks to the wall so she could sleep. She did FABULOUSLY.

Can you see that tiny little person at the bottom of this picture? That's me at the GIANT Pitti Palace.
